Shipping Charge
Your product price is fixed the moment you order. International shipping is charged separately, by weight, and settled when your parcel is weighed in Dhaka. Here is exactly how it is worked out.
Current rates
Charged per kilogram of actual weight, Guangzhou to Dhaka, including customs clearance.
By air
৳770 to ৳1,170 per kg
15 to 25 days
The default for most orders. The band exists because the rate depends on the size of the parcel relative to its weight.
How the charge is calculated
Shipping is rate per kilogram, multiplied by the weight of your parcel. There is no flat fee and no per-item charge, so ordering ten of something costs substantially less per unit to ship than ordering one.
The weight that counts is the weight measured on our scale in Dhaka after the parcel arrives, not the weight printed on the supplier's listing. Listings quote approximate weights, they routinely exclude packaging, and a carton is often heavier than the sum of what is inside it. The estimate on a product page is genuinely useful for planning and it is not a quote.
Bulky, light goods are the exception worth knowing about. Freight is priced on whichever is greater, actual weight or volumetric weight, because a box of cushions occupies the space of something far heavier. Where that applies to your order, your account manager tells you before you pay the balance rather than after.
When you pay
Payment splits in two, and shipping falls entirely in the second half.
- 50% deposit when you place the order. This is a share of the product price only. No shipping is charged at this point, because at this point nobody knows what it will be.
- The remaining 50%, plus shipping, on delivery. By then your parcel has been weighed, the freight is a known figure, and you are told the exact amount before it is collected.
You are never asked to pay a shipping figure that has not been confirmed to you first. If the freight comes back higher than you are willing to pay, say so before we ship: see Returns & Refund for what happens then.
What is already in the price
The taka price on a product page is not a converted Chinese price with charges to follow. It already includes:
- the supplier's price for the product;
- domestic freight inside China, from the supplier to our warehouse;
- our service fee for buying, inspecting, consolidating and importing;
- currency conversion at the rate we publish, not a bank spread applied later.
International shipping and, where it applies, the China courier charge are the only things added afterwards.
Delivery inside Bangladesh
Door-to-door delivery within Bangladesh is included in the shipping charge for addresses our courier partners serve, which is most of the country. Remote areas may carry a courier surcharge, and you are told the amount before dispatch.
Transit times above are counted from the day your goods leave China, not from the day you order. Add a few days at the start for the supplier to ship to our warehouse, and expect delays around Chinese New Year, when suppliers and freight both stop.
Customs and duties
Customs clearance and import duty are our responsibility and are covered by the rates above. You are not billed separately by us, by customs or by the courier. If any authority contacts you directly about a Klin Source shipment, tell your account manager before you pay anything.
Orders start at ৳1,500 per supplier. Products from the same supplier count together towards it.
