耐火水泥的耐火度不低于1580°C的水泥。按组成不同可分为铝酸盐耐火水泥、低钙铝酸盐耐火水泥、钙镁铝酸盐水泥和白云石耐火水泥等。
耐火水泥可用于胶结各种耐火集料（如刚玉、煅烧高铝矾土等），制成耐火砂浆或混凝土，用于水泥回转窑和其他工业窑炉作内衬。

1)常温350度阶段，易引起局部爆裂，要特别注意缓慢烘烤。如在350度保温后仍有大量蒸汽冒出，仍应减缓升温速度。
2)在通风不良、水气不易排出的条件下，要适当延长保温时间。
3)当用重油烘烤时，要严防重油喷在炉衬表面，以防局部爆裂。
4)当用木柴烘烤时，直接接触火焰处往往造成局部升温过急，应加以防护。
5)对新浇捣的耐火水泥，至少要经3d后才可进行烘烤。
6)对耐火水泥炉衬的冷却也应缓慢，避免强制通风。[1]
